An attraction of this temple which caught the devotee’s attention is the ‘Ezhara Ponnana’ festival. Once a year fiesta of the temple renowned in  February/March takes for 10 days. ‘‘Ezhara Ponnana, they carry Ezhunallathu’ festival on the 8th day.

Despite that, the community members will then show their special treasure which called ‘Ezhara Ponnana’ means seven and a half golden elephants.

This treasure is one highlight of the procession in which the tourists will spend their time to watch ‘Ezhara Ponnana’ and take a shot with them. They could find these displays in Kerala not anywhere else.

It is the nearby railway post to this sanctuary which is almost 2 kilometers from the temple. Another railway post is Kottayam which is far 11 kilometers from the temple.
